K2 TELECOM became Uganda’s newest telecom company on December 31.K2 Telecom’s calling code is 0730 and the major stakeholders in the business,Buganda Kingdom government says K2 Telecom is going to have a high quality signal and will cover the whole country from the start.
The Kabaka of Buganda ,Ronald Muwenda Mutebi made the very first call with K2 TELECOM to launch the new telecom company in Uganda at Lubiri Mengo during radio CBS’s annual event -Enkuuka.
The first telecom industry in Uganda was Celtel, now Airtel, MTN, UTL and Warid ,Orange and others later joined the market.
K2 Telecom is another business Buganda is going to own as a joint venture with other wealthy Ugandans.
Kabaka/Buganda will have the biggest shareholding in the company .The offices of K2 Telecom are to be situated near Crested Towers.
I thank his majesty for creating employment opportunities for his subjects.Now we are waiting for cbs-tv,wagaala ayi musota.
I would like to work with the k2 telcom so i would like to know the address,contact or procedures of the applications.
With all my sincere prayers,I think Ugandans we had better embrace the support of our local investors ,do away with all negative sentiments in this new year,because we all know the magnitude and rate at which profits are repratriated the old established foreign telecom companies.
