Actress, January Jones’ hair has started falling out due to frequent color changes.

Best known for her role as Don Draper’s ex-wife, Betty, on the hit TV show “Mad Men”, Jones has appeared as a blonde, brunette and a redhead.

Hair falling out can be attributed to harsh treatments when follicles are over-processed with bleach. Jones made the revelation during the Sundance Film Festival saying her hair is falling out due to processing and color changes and explains that her son prefers her as a blonde: “I have been every color and now my hair is falling out in clumps … I like it all colors, it makes you feel different according to what color it is, but I prefer to be blonde. My son recognizes me in photos when I am blonde. He says, ‘Mama.’ “

She added saying, “I’ve been blonde, red with extensions for this film [Sweetwater], then blonde, then black, and now blonde again. I’m going to have to shave it off and wear a wig.”
