US Secretary of State ,Hillary Clinton is set to return to work today Monday after a long absence from office caused by a series of health scares, including a blood clot in her head.
Clinton has been bed ridden since her trip to Europe on December 7.The 65-year-old was admitted to New York Presbyterian Hospital on 30 December after a routine scan revealed the clot in the space between her skull and her brain.
Clinton left hospital late on Wednesday after three days of treatment, and headed to her home in Chappaqua, New York, as doctors who have prescribed her blood thinners said they expect her to make a full recovery.
According to her schedule issued by the state department, Hillary Clinton will meet at 09.15am on Monday with her assistant secretaries at the State Department in Washington.
In the course of the week ,she will meet the Defence Secretary Leon Panetta and National Security Advisor Tom Donilon at White House on Tuesday.On Thursday, Clinton will host visiting Afghan President Hamid Karzai at the State Department and also welcome him for a working dinner.
