Residents in Gulu district have welcome the year 2013 in style with a lot of dances and prayers which were held at the Pece stadium over night.

There were also 8 points in Gulu where fireworks were displayed to usher in the year 2013.

The Resident District Commissioner for Gulu district-James Navinson Kidega has said that all these places met the requirement for the exercise.

Aquinas Oyet, the Gulu DPC said that there were no serious crimes committed within Gulu Municipality. He said that most of the crimes were committed in sub counties.
