Police in Gulu have recovered the body of a 30 year old student from Gulu university dumped at Wii-Layibi near Techo health centre 2 in Layibi division.

The body was discovered on Monday by one of the residents of Layibi division in Gulu Municipality.

The Acwa region Police spokesperson, Johnson Kilama confirmed the incidence and identified the deceased as Tonny Opio Laker a Computer science student at Gulu University who was among those slated to graduate on 19th of this month.

Kilama said that Laker is a resident of Nwoya district.

He says the deceased could have been strangled because his neck was found twisted 4 times with his hands tied backwards with a rope.
