Following the mismanagement of the Peace Recovery and Development Plan (PRDP) funds  in the office of the Prime Minister ,Gulu district speaker Douglas Peter Okello together with  other speakers from the Local Government in Acholi sub region have showed their interest in seeking audience with President Museveni.

Okello though did not tell  Uganda Picks when they intend to meet the president over the PRDP funds, he said that it will be before the end of this month.

Okello explained that the move follows risks the districts in Acholi sub region face after the PRDP Funding was discontinued.

“We have been threatened by some of the prequalified contractors who are supposed to provide services under PRDP and some of them want to drag us to court”, Okello said.

He observes that most contracts in the district have now been rolled over to the next financial year because the district is not in position to pay the contractors.
