The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), General Aronda Nyakarima has refuted the coup statement that was attributed to him, describing it as irresponsible journalism.

General Aronda while at Paidha Cultural centre, in Paidha Town Council in Zombo said that the UPDF cannot dream of a coup.

Aronda also explained that the NRM government fought very hard to bring stability and prosperity that Ugandans are enjoying today.

He termed the allegation as farfetched adding that it is meant to tarnish the image of NRM government.

Aronda also blamed journalists for what he termed as misquoting him out of context and urged that all journalists to always do enough research before reporting any news.
