Uganda’s leading opposition party, FDC is set to commence hearing grievances raised by Nandala Mafabi team about the irregularities in the election process that ushered in the party’s new president Gen Gregory Mugisha Muntu with the 30 days process geared at reconciling both teams.
While reading the party chairman’s press statement at a joint press conference held at party headquarters, Bunyoro region party chairman, Patrick Baguma confirmed that the five member committee chaired by Ladislaus Kiiza Rwakafuzi together with Elizabeth Abong, Stephen Okwaling, Nasser Obore Mudi and Atananius Rutaro as a committee members.
Meanwhile the party treasurer, Jack Sabitti maintained that there is no rift within the party as it is reported .He however pinned the sitting party of being behind the chaos in FDC adding that the party will not break up.
Elsewhere Busia municipality MP Taka Evalina referred the process as one of the evaluation process of the party on transparency and democratic lines.
Nandala Mafabi’s team raised complaints about the illegal practices exhibited by the party secretary general, Alice Alaso, the party chairman, Dan Mugarura and the deputy treasurer, among others.
