FDC spokesperson Philip Wafula Ogutu has confirmed that FDC will be holding party primaries for the Butaleja district woman MP by-election slated for next month.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi,Mr Ogutu said that the party has information that more than one party members in the district have shown interest in the post and are anxious to stand which now calls for the primaries preparations kick to off tomorrow.
He also added that the party president has started engaging different top party leaders in a series of meeting that will last for a month geared at creating harmony with them.
Elsewhere Mr Ogutu said that FDC is demanding the president to accord full respect to all government institutions since they all have their role to play towards the governance of this nation.
Hon Wafula Ogutu further expressed concern over the way the president has treated the legislative arm in the course of Nebanda’s death which has created mistrust between the legislative arm and cabinet.
He added that all institutions should be left to function autonomous for better governance.
