By Sandra Birungi

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is going to elect its representative in the Butaleja Woman MP by elections on Saturday after failing to agree on who of the six contestants should be put forward.

The party is supposed to endorse one candidate to vie for the seat alongside opposing party members but of the six, the party has failed to come up with the one to take up. The six are Suzan Baluka Were, Winnie Mulela, Felistus Namwihiri., Juliet Nabwire, Rose Nabwire and Hadija Yenga.

Voting for who will take up the party flag will take place on Saturday 19th.

The Butaleja Woman MP seat fell vacant towards the end of last year after Cerinah Nebanda, the district’s MP died from what the government has said were drugs.

Voting for the new MP is to take place next month February 11th.
