The Forum for Democratic Change party has elected a committee to investigate  alleged election  irregularities in the recent presidential elections .Nandala Mafabi’s camp claimed that the election was not free and fair .

Other members argued that some people voted more than once in an election which was won by Maj.Mugisha Muntu.Consequently Mafabi ‘petitioned the party asking for an investigation into the election.

The committee  to investigate the election is expected to complete its work in 30 days  and its comprised of  representatives of both Mugisha Muntu and Nandala Mafabi ,the two top rivals in FDC’s November election .

Elizabeth Abong a university lecturer and Steven Okwalinga will represent Nandala Mafabi.  Meanwhile Nasser Obore Mudi and Atanasius Rutaro will represent Mugisha  Muntu’s  camp.Human rights lawyer, Ladislus Rwakafuzi will head the committee.

The committee will determine whether or not the regulations regarding the electioneering process, the party code of conduct and any other instrument prescribed in the party Constitution were breached .
