The Gulu High Court have started the hearing of the Aggravated Defilement case against a 35 year old man, a resident of Nwoya district who allegedly defiled his own 13 year old daughter.
Robert Ojok is being accused of defiling his own daughter on six different occasions.
The hearing started at the Gulu high court last Friday before the Lira Resident Judge, Justice Byamukama Mugyeni.
The state prosecutor, Ambrose Opira, told court that on May 6th 2012 between 6:00 and 7:30pm, Robert Ojok waylaid the little girl as she was returning from the bush where she had gone to monitor the charcoal that was burning, and dragged her to a nearby hut where he defiled her.
The court also heard that Ojok allegedly threatened to kill the minor if she told anyone.
The minor while in court also explained that now for over 6 times her father has been defiling her, whenever her mother Florence Aber was away.
Ojok however denied the allegations, saying that he was forced to confess to having committed the crime by his brothers-in-laws.
Medical examination reports carried by Geoffrey Oloya, a Medical officer at Anaka Hospital on the 15th May 2012 indicate that the girl was defiled
Byamukama remanded Ojok to the Gulu Central Prison until January 21st 2013 when the hearing will continue.
