Two Ebola cases have been suspected in Mubende district  .Two children have been admitted with Ebola -like symptom -vomiting blood,Mubende district health officer (DHO), Dr. Wilson Mubiru said on Friday.

“We have forwarded blood tests to the Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) in Entebbe. Although we are yet to get the results, we highly doubt whether this is Ebola,” said Dr. Mubiru.

Doctors handling ebola in Bundibugyo

Doctors have called for calm among locals since the patients are only vomiting blood but have no other signs of Ebola.

Dr. Nkrunziza says the patients have improved significantly since they  were admitted .Health officials have refuted claims that four cases have already been recorded.

Uganda was to be declared Ebola free on January 16.
