Following the statements made by the army commander, Aronda Nyakairima that the army might be forced take over the people elected government, the Democratic party has today filed a case  against the army commander at Nakawa magistrate court through Alaka and company advocates.The group is led by  Luwero woman MP, Brenda Nabukenya .

While addressing journalists at party headquarters in Kampala on Tuesday , the spokes person of the party, Kenneth Paul Kakande said,that DP have pressed five cases against Nyakairima among them being treason, inciting mutiny among others.

Mr Kakande also said that they are going to petition the speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga requesting her to discipline Nyakairima over the statement he made.
