Alain Traore ,Burkina Faso’s top scorer is out of the African Nations Cup.Toure suffered a pulled thigh muscle in Tuesday’s match with  Zambia .

Traore said he felt the injury as he attempted an early cross and he was taken off in the 11th minute.

“Alain’s chances of continuing in this Nations Cup are minus 10 percent,” the team’s doctor, Romaric Toe, told AFP on Wednesday.

“He pulled a muscle in his left thigh, and will undergo all the necessary examinations, but his competition I would say is over.”

Traore said: “For me the Nations Cup is finished. We were waiting to qualify for the quarterfinals for such a long time this injury has spoiled the enjoyment a little.”

Burkina Faso however lucky enough to finish the game  top of their group and will play Togo or Tunisia in the quarter-finals in Nelspruit on Sunday.

Meanwhile Nigeria beat Ethiopia 2-0 .All the goals were shot by Victor Moses ,Chelsae’s star.
