Councilors in Lyama Sub County in Budaka district have expressed their dissatisfaction of the sub county’s failure to pay their seating allowances for a  whole year.

The Councilors says ever since they were sworn in early 2011 they have never got any seating allowance.

Mariam Nawansa woman councilor Lyama Parish says that they spend most of their time at the sub county head quarters but they have not got any allowance yet they have been sitting in the council sessions.

Meanwhile Jamada Mutabule, the sub-county chief Lyama sub-county blamed the Budaka district authorities for nonpayment of councilors seating allowances .He said the district authorities take all the revenue realized from taxes.
