Benedict Kasekende the father to Bank of Uganda Deputy governor,Louis Kasekenda  was laid to rest on Sunday,January 20,2013.

Kasekende was also a father to Engineer Martin Kasekende the Chairman Buganda Land Board and Herman Kasekende (M/D Standard Chartered Bank.

He was laid to rest at his birthplace in Masaka.He was born on April 15,1931.He went to Kitovu P/S , St.Mary’s College Kisubi and later  Namilyango college  where he sat for S.6.He trained at Mbarara Teachers College where he graduated as a Grade III teacher.

In 1965 he went to Edinburgh University and Makerere University still to perfect his education professionalism.His sons hailed their father as a man who loved teaching.
