Actress, Ashley Judd might make a run for the Senate by running against Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Judd has been a supporter of President Barrack Obama and the democratic party and according to Preliminary polling by republican and democratic firms, she ranks four points above McConnell.
The revelation was made by her mother, Naomi Judd who was appearing for the Larry King show. “I can tell you she’s very interested in changing the world. And she knows that politics unfortunately right now is one of the ways she could do that,” Naomi said.
Apart from being a verbal supporter for Obama, Judd is also an active humanitarian and ambassador for YouthAids prevention program. She has also traveled internationally to raise awareness about poverty. “OK, here’s the deal. As of right now, she doesn’t know,” Naomi went on to add.
As of right now, Congressman, John Yarmuth said they are presently looking for candidate to take on McConnell and Judd is one of individuals currently up for consideration. He admitted to speaking to Ashley Judd about the possibility of running for Senate but has yet to make an official decision on the matter. “I think she’s very interested in becoming a candidate for some office whether it’s next year against Mitch McConnell or it’s against Rand Paul whether it’s for some other office I don’t know, but she’s a very serious potential candidate,” he said on WDRB.
