The Chairman LC 5 for Alebtong district has appealed to the government to avail Alebtong district with an ambulance.

Dk Odong argues that the ambulances are needed for transporting patients from sub counties to Alebtong health centre III.

He said that Alebtong district does not have any ambulance but a double cabin Pick up given by the Ministry of Health 10 years ago .The chairperson said that the pick up has broken down very many times  and is now beyond repair.

He says referrals are now being made using the district vehicles yet they also face shortage of fuel.

Odongo also noted that most of the health centres II’s in the District are also in a poor state and need to be worked upon.
