Serere district woman MP who also doubles as the forum for democratic change General secretary ,Alice Alaso has vowed  not to step aside until the party leaders in Mafabi’s  camp also step aside.

Alaso told reporters at parliament on Thursday that those complaining against her should ensure that whatever they are asking for can also be applied to them .

She said that she will not step down just to please those that are complaining but she will do whatever the commission asks her to do after the investigations.

Hon Alaso urged both camps in the party to submit to the commission and agree to the report if they are to solve the problems in the party.

She also said that the people who were put on the committee by the chairperson of the party are all credible enough and can come up with better report that can help the party.

The conflicts in the party resulted from the elections for the party president where Mugisha Muntu emerged as a winner beating the leader of opposition in parliament Nandala Mafabi and shadow minister for finance Geoffrey Ekanya.

Mafabi’s camp petitioned the party leadership challenging the elections and at the same time calling for the stepping aside of the secretary general together with the chairperson of the electoral commission saying that they participated in rigging the votes.
