With just two minutes to the end of the game, Ivory Coast managed to beat Togo Tuesday with a 2-1 win.
Yaya Toure scored the first goal for Ivory Coast giving them the lead during the first half of the game. This came five minutes after a failed attempt by Togo to score a goal. Gervinho gave a pass to an unmarked Yaya Toure who shot the ball from 16-yards out into the back of the net giving them a 1-0.
The next few minutes saw Togo try to snake their way into the net with less luck each time. Ivory Coast almost scored a second goal in the 44th minute when Gervinho he once again passed a ball to Yaya Toure in a similar position to where he scored his first goal from but did not manage to score this time as the ball rattled the right-hand post and bounced away.
With just a few minutes to the end of the second half, a pass to Jonathan Ayite saw Togo equalize with a goal making it 1-1.
The second half kicked off with sparks flying for both Ivory Coast and Togo needing to score one more goal to win the game. Ivory Coast took more control of the ball but did not manage to score a goal until two minutes to the end of the game.
