By Martha Nakimuli

The trial of Adam Suleiman Kalungi  is expected next week and  close sources to the investigation into the death of Nebanda say he is to be charged with man slaughter which carries  life sentence as punishment  upon conviction.

The sources say Kalungi who has already been charged with illegal possession of illicit drugs  will face man slaughter charges because of supplying the drugs which led to the death of Nebanda.

Other suspects including Abid Rashied Butt ,Fatuma Babu, Khan Babu, Noor Abubaker, and Ali Omar Almuzahim were  already charged  with possession of  drugs which allegedly led to the death of Nebanda.

“We are going to add manslaughter charges against them because the illicit drugs that led to the death of MP Nebanda were delivered by them,” a senior detective was quoted saying by our source

On Saturday Adam Kalungi told police that Nebanda used cocaine and heroin together and they reacted badly in her body  . He said that Nebanda had that day started taking heroin and taken it the wrong way by sniffing it.
