Adam Kalungi, who was also Nebanda’s boyfriend was arrested last week on Thursday from Mombasa Kenya and was yesterday presented before Makindye chief Magistrate’s court from where he was remanded to Luzira Prison.
It is alleged that Kalungi had a hand in the death of the youthful vocal MP because she took the drugs which claimed her life from his house.
In an interview after two days after his arrest, Kalungi told journalists and Police that Nebanda took the drugs from his house though in his absence and when he came back he found her in critical condition, he tried to save her life, gave her first aid and rushed her to Hospital but it was too late.
He however said that him and Nebanda were in good relation, hard future plans and also regretted her death.
Nebanda was announced dead at 7:00pm on December 14, 2012 at Mukwaya General clinic in Nsambya where she was dumped by Kalungi and his friends.
The first postmortem report indicated that her liver was severely damaged and final report indicated that she died of drug abuse.
