Adam Suleiman Kalungi, the alleged boyfriend of the deceased Butaleja Woman MP, Cerinah Nebanda has been arrested by the police of Kenya.
Kalungi was arrested by the Kenyan police but has since been deported back to Uganda through the Malaba border in Tororo district and is being held by Ugandan police at the moment.

Kalungi is said to have fled to Kenya on 14th December 2012, the same day that Nebanda died. He was among the three people who took the deceased to Mukwaya hospital where she was declared dead upon arrival. He has been on the most wanted list of police in connection to the death of the 24-year-old.
Deputy Police spokesperson, Vincet Ssekatte confirmed the arrest saying Kalungi was apprehended by the Kenyan authorities and handed over to the Ugandan police immediately afterwards. “The government of Kenya caught Kalungi in Kenya and was deported to Uganda through the Malaba boarder in Tororo district,” Sekatte said. He went on to add saying, “Kalunig ran from Uganda since 14th December and has been in hiding ever since. His arrest is not only beneficial because he was the last person to see Nebanda alive but because he can fill in the very many blanks in the story. He will tell us what happened, how it happened, he will tell us the details of Nebanda before she died.”
Sekatte went on to thank the Kenyan police for handing over Kalungi to the Ugandan authorities. He did not reveal however where exactly Kalungi is being held at the moment.
