Adam Kalungi has admitted to killing her lover Cerinah Nebanda ,the young and vocal  Butaleja MP.Appearing before Makindye Chief Magistrate Esta Nambayo on Monday ,Adam Suleiman Kalungi alias  Luli pleaded guilty to the charges of manslaughter which had imposed on him by government.

State alleged that Adam Kalungi together  with five other people  supplied drugs which caused  death of Nebanda.

After reading the charges to him, “You Adam Kalungi Suleiman alias Luli together with Ali Omar Almuzahim , Khan Babu Adbul ,Noor Abubaker ,Abid Rashied Butt ,Fatuma Babu unlawfully caused the death of Cerina Nebanda contrary to section 187 and 190 of the penal code “    .When asked whether the charges were true or not ,Kalungi responded, “It is true ”

Judge Nambayo however refused his plea and adjourned the case to Tuesday-today where Kalungi will appear with a lawyer.

Kalungi was later remanded to Luzire prison ,since his arrest last week,Kalungi has been detained at Kireka CID offices with police establishing more evidence concerning thee death of Cerina Nebanda

Nebanda, 24, passed away at Mukwaya General Clinic in Nsambya, on December 14 shortly after Kalungi and his friends dropped her at the facility and disappeared.
