The director St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor, Dr. Emilton Odong Ayella has revealed that 80 percent of patients at St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor suffer from Cancer

He notes that as a result, many patients usually give up travelling up to Mulago to receive the treatment and end up dying.

He says many lives will be saved if government can open a cancer treatment wing at the hospital for patients in the northern region.

Ayella however notes that diseases like snake bites which used to be over 4000 cases in a month has drastically reduced.
