Police, through the Police deputy speaker, Vincent Ssekatte has warned the 4GC (For God and my Country) activists to answer to police summons today or risk being arrested by police anywhere in the country.
The activists in question are Ingrid Turinawe, Mathias Mpuga, Muwanga Kivumbi and Basalirwa Assuman. The four were summoned by police to answer to claims of promoting an unlawful assembly of the 4GC group but promised they will not answer to the summons saying it is the court who is supposed to summon then, not police.
However, Sekatte warned them that should they fail to answer to the summons today, they will be forced to get criminal summons and they will be arrested anywhere they will be. “We will get criminal summons and they will be arrested wherever they are. You can run but you cannot hide from the law,” Sekatte said.
They were summoned last week Friday and have since not answered the summons.
