200 Makerere University Students are yet to be cleared for graduation which is scheduled to take place 22nd January  to 25th January 2013 at the university graduation grounds.

Students earlier on in the week protested after finding their names missing from the university graduation list claiming that they were supposed to graduate. The university asked that the students talk to their lecturers to sort out the issue. At the time, it was  a provisional graduation list which had been released but later on, a final one was released leaving students wondering how they were going to graduate this year.

The four-day graduation ceremony, according to the graduation program is to kick off on 22nd January at 8:30am with guests and graduands arriving and seating in their respective tents. The congregation will be constituted by the university Chancellor, Professor George Mondo Kagonyera at 9:00am.

On Tuesday 22nd January, 2013, graduands from College of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal resources and Biosecurity, College of Humanities and social sciences and College of Natural Sciences will be awarded their respective degrees, diplomas and certificates.

On Wednesday 23rd January, 2013, Graduands from College of Business and Management Sciences, College of Computing and Information sciences will be awarded the qualifications.

On Thursday 24th, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, College of Engineering, design, Art and Technology, College of Education and External Studies and School of Law graduation.

On Friday 25th January 2013, Makerere University Business School graduation.

It is not clear what the fate of the 200 students will be but the university administration has promised to settle the matter as soon as possible.
