The Northern region  police spokesperson ,Johnson Kilama has warned the general public to be aware of Fake Notes which he says were brought to Gulu town early this week by unscrupulous people.

Addressing the press on Thursday ,Kilama said that the fake currencies are in the denominations of shs20,000 and shs50,000.

He says they suspect that the money could have been brought from Kampala by business people.

Kilama warned traders especially those dealing in produce, Mobile money agents and those dealing in charcoal to be vigilant.

He also encouraged the local residents to report any person supplying suspected fake notes to the nearby leader in their area.
