While visiting Rome in Italy, Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga was blessed by Pope Benedict XVI while attending a mass.

The speaker was at the service at which the Pope launched his Twitter account and sent his first message in several languages to millions of online followers. “Dear friends, I am pleased to get in touch with you through Twitter. Thank you for your generous response. I bless all of you from my heart,” the Pope wrote.

kadaga 1They were in Rome to attend the 7th Consultative Assembly of Parliamentarians for the International Criminal Court and the World Parliamentary Conference on Human Rights. The mass was attended by thousands of pilgrims at the Vatican.

After meeting the Pope and visiting St Peter’s Basilicca, she expressed happiness over the meet. “I think this is a moment that cannot be repeated. We have been reading about him, hearing stories about St.Peter’s Basilica but now we are here physically. I think it is something that I will remember all my life. It’s a very great moment and I thank God for this opportunity,” she said minutes after meeting the Pope.

She handed over to the Pope a portrait of the Uganda Martyrs Shrine Namugongo, a historical place where Christians were murdered because of their allegiance to their faith.

    This is quite sickening that the pope would bless an evil woman who is planning on Murder and genocide on her own people, he should be ashamed of himself. There is no God in Uganda if this Heinous Act is allowed to pass

      Why do u say Kadaga is planning murder and genocide? You dont know her. Please dont base your judgement on heresys. Why the hatred? Focus your hatred on evils like homosexuality which caused the destruction of citys like Sodom and Gommorah.
      We sane Ugandans want the best for our children. Leave Kadaga alone,she may have made some mistakes as a human being but you have no basis of calling her a murderer.
      Are you mentally and spiritualy stable? And you say there is no God in Uganda, where is he? Please wake up you must have gone to dreamland, if not you must be insane.
