Many heads of States have already arrived in Uganda to attend Golden jubilee celebrations on Tuesday,October 9 at Kololo Air strip.
Presidents including South Sudan President Salva Kiir, President Joseph Kabila of Congo and Pierre Nkurunziza of Burundi arrived in Uganda on Sunday and more others are expected today.
Those expected to arrive today include ;Yahaya Jammeh of Gambia, Joyce Banda of Malawi, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Mwai Kibaki of Kenya, Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania among other delegates.
The United States of America president Barrack Obama has delegated US ambassador to Uganda while the Queen of England delegated Prince Edward to sit in for her.
Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent arrived in Uganda last Thursday,shortly after arrival, the Duke travelled to Masindi district on a tour of projects by Soft Power Education (SPE), a British-funded charity.
He was also hosted to a luncheon, with the British High Commissioner, Alison Blackburne and other district leaders at Masindi Hotel, which is Uganda’s oldest hotel , having been opened in 1923.
The Duke, who is on a five-day visit to Uganda, toured an exhibition of photos, literature and artifacts showcasing Murchison Falls National Park at the hotel.
