The Minister of Internal Affairs, Hilary Onek has promised to apprehend the people who were involved in the burning of Hon Tinkasimire’s house in Mukono.
Minister Oneck told MPs at the floor of parliament that arson attack is going to be investigated by government to find out the people who did it.
“Am going to follow this with police until we find the culprits who wanted to kill Hon Tinkasiimire”
Tinkasimire last week told journalists that he was receiving calls from unknown people threatening to take his life as well as destroy his properties located in Mukono, Kibale and Fort Portal if he doesn’t stop giving support to Kampala city council authority to demolish people’s buildings.
“This attack is attributed to Tinkasimire stand on the destruction of buildings located in wetlands as the chairman of the committee on the presidential affairs. In the recent past Tinkasimire ordered the KCCA to conduct operations which saw the destruction of a number of buildings in central Kampala” another official noted
Hon Tinkasiimire has been discharged from Mulago hospital but his wife and the maid are still at Mulago battling with wounds.
Elsewhere Member of Parliament for Rubaga South, John Ken Lukyamuzi revealed that in Ndeeba insecurity is so alarming and government needs to intervene to safe lives of people by offering enough security.
“My people have promised to drop as their leader if government fails to give them enough security. Government should listen to my people before I also chuck it,” Lukyamuzi threatened.
