Buganda road court has ordered police to arrest comedian who also doubles as an actor ,Andrew Benon Kibuuka commonly known as ‘Dube Sempata’ following allegations that he issued a fake cheque to a man identified as Francis Mutebi.
Kibuuka is accused along with one Charles James Ssenkubuge but while appearing before the court Senkubuge denied the charges and was granted bail of sh800,000 cash with sureties Steven Mugombe and Henry Lutaaya.
Grade one magistrate Julius Borore ordered for the arrest of Kibuuka after the state prosecutor Stephen Asaba telling court that Kibuuka was summoned to come and explain the allegations but he failed to turn up.
It is alleged that the duo committed the offense on August 1st 2011 when they gave out a sh13 million cheque to Francis Mutebi but when he presented it for payment at Stanbic Bank IPS building he was told that the account they ordered to pay him had no money.
However court was not told what the two were paying for.
