Winfred Kizza has been sworn as the  Member of Parliament for Kasese district, after winning the recent by-election beating NRMs Rehema Muhindo and DP’s Rosemary Masika.

The swearing in of Winnie Kiiza was presided by the deputy speaker of parliament ,Gilbert Oulanyah at the floor of parliament.

After the official swearing in, she promised to resume the work she hard started before she was pushed from her seat.She has promised to strengthen agriculture, education, and sanitation among others for her people.

She told journalists at parliament that she going to ensure that she fights for democracy in the country given the situation the people of Kasese went through during the campaign in Kasese

She further accused the police for causing disorder during the hotly contested by elections in Kasese.

Winnie Kiiza was declared Kasese district by –elections by EC after getting the big number of votes of 97,669.

Hon Kiiza was also re-appointed as the opposition chief whip at parliament in the opposition shadow cabinet.
