Canadian actress Tonya Lee Williams is coming to Kampala this December.
The actress best known for her role as Dr. Olivia Barber Winters on the American soap opera ,The young and the restless, will be here to grace the inaugural Nile Diaspora International Film Festival (Ndiff), according to the festival patron in Uganda, Dr Maggie Kigozi.
The television superstar confirmed her presence last week. She is among many top celebrities who are expected to attend Ndiff, scheduled for December 8 to 15 at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
Dr. Kigozi has already revealed that Motown legends Lenny Williams, Paul Carman and Skyler Jett who sang ‘My heart will go on’ with Celine Dion, will attend too.
Born in England to Canadian parents, Canada-based Williams has appeared in a host of television series.
She is also the founder and president of ReelWorld film festival, an annual film festival in Toronto that features talent from diverse visible communities.
