32 people have been reported dead after a Sudanese plane crashed as they made their way for the Islamic festival celebrations, Eid al-Fitr yesterday, Sunday.

It crashed in the mountains around Talodi, a town in the border state of South Kordofan and according to reports, the crash was because of “bad weather conditions”. Among the dead was Sudan’s Guidance and Endowments (religious affairs) Minister Ghazi al-Sadeq, Mahjoub Abdel Raheem Toutou, state minister for youth and sports, and Eissa Daifallah, state minister for tourism, antiquities and wildlife.
