A woman lived with a spider in her ear for five years but never knew until she went to hospital complaining of itching only to be told she had a spider in her ear.

She went to China’s Changsha Central Hospital and complained of itching in her ear. She was told by doctors that there was a spider in her ear canal for five days and she did  not know.

To remove the spider which was causing discomfort to Ms. Lee, doctors used a saline solution to flush out the spider to avoid having the spider burrow deeper inside the canal or bite her.

It proved successful as the spider was flushed out and full of gratitude and relief, the woman cried. Doctors suspect the spider entered her ear when she was sleeping.

An x-ray photo showed how the spider was literally living in the woman’s ear.
