President Museveni is set to meet Buganda region Members of Parliament at State House Entebbe.
Buganda caucus boss Godfrey Kiwanda says that the purpose of tomorrow’s meeting with the president is to resolve matters which were raised in the first meeting last month.
“This is the second meeting with president; the first meeting with him we discussed issues between Mengo and Central Government. In tomorrows meeting we are going to resolve the issues we raised last time” Kiwanda noted
Kiwanda told scribes at parliament that among the issues to be resolved in tomorrows meeting includes the 19b shillings Buganda debt which the government has failed to pay, the report of the burning of Kasubi Tombs, Kabaka’s denial to visit both Bugerere and Nakasongola and the cultural leaders Act which was passed with bad heart to squeeze cultural leaders among others.
“We will also discuss why until now government has failed to pay Buganda veterans who contributed to the success of 1986 war and when government is willing to pay them” Kiwanda added
Hon Kiwanda further said that all Buganda caucus MPs who do not want to meet president Museveni are free not to attend but they will still remain Buganda caucus members.
