Chief Justice, Benjamin Odoki has warned magistrates over late coming, absenteeism, laziness, poor quality work and delayed judgments.
Speaking at the official opening of the 3rd magistrates conference in Kampala yesterday, Odoki revealed that the judiciary will not tolerate such vices because they greatly dent the image of the organ and anybody involved in any of the above will face disciplinary action.
Odoki also added that they have the Judiciary Disciplinary Committee to deal with any one found in breach of the professional code.
He has however reminded them of the provisions of Article126(2) which states that justice shall be done to all irrespective of their social/economic status, and shall not be delayed.
