Forum for democratic Change (FDC) has started nominations for the party’s  presidential candidates.

Three candidates ;former army commander Mugisha Muntu, Leader of opposition in parliament Nandala Mafabi and Tororo County MP  Geoffrey Ekanya have so far shown interest in the post .

Ekanya was  nominated on Friday morning according to FDC Chairman Electoral Commission, Dan Mugalula .Nandala Mafabi  is expected before the commission at 2:00pm. Mugisha Muntu is expected to appear for nomination tomorrow.

Mr. Mugalu says that there are some procedures followed before nominating a candidate and a candidate has to meet some requirements which include paying a non refundable fee of sh2m, present a party card, A-Level qualifications, law abiding and seconded by at least 10 people country wide.

Soon after nominations Ekanya promised to move the party forward if he succeeds Dr Kizza Besigye.
