Former Kampala Mayor Nasser Ntege Ssebagala has been appointed the senior presidential advisor for special duties.

President Museveni appointed Ssebagala after he missed out on the ministerial post of minister without portfolio because of he lacked the required academic qualifications.

Parliamentarians on the vetting committee disqualified Ssebagala after his appointment because of inadequate academic credentials.

President Museveni last week reshuffled his cabinet relieving some ministers of their duties, changing the roles of some and also appointing new ones.

He went ahead and reshuffled Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) and also appointed new ambassadors.

In his new changes, formerĀ Principal Private Secretaries Grace Akello has been appointed Uganda’s ambassador to Rome while Kintu Nyago has been appointed ambassador to New York.

He has sent NRM Deputy Secretary General Dorothy Hyuha to Dar es Salaam as high commissioner.

In RDC reshuffle Ssembabule LC V former contestant, Herman Ssentongo, has been appointed RDC Yumbe district andĀ  former MP Juliet Kabonesa Ssekitoleko is Kanungu RDC.
