Bukooli North Member of Parliament Stephen Bakka Mugabi (NRM) wants the NRM party chairman Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to put his party to order if they are to stop losing by-elections.

This Came after NRM lost again in Kasese district woman parliamentary seat to FDC.

Baka told journalists at parliament that, the party has so many wars within which needs to be solved by the party chairman because they have greatly affected the grass root support.

He also said the NRM central committee must be organized so that grassroots mobilizers are redirected on new party strategies to enable NRM move forward.

“Yesterdays Kasese loss indicates that people at the ground no longer have any trust in the ruling party” He noted

Although president Museveni traveled to Kasese to campaign for his candidate, it did not stop the FDC’s Winnie Kiiza to win the polls with  the most number of votes.

According to electoral commission the FDC’s Kiiza polled 97,669 votes while Muhindo managed 59,946 votes and the DP’s Rosemary Masika came last with a marginal 1229 votes.

The electoral commission also indicated that 230 votes were declared invalid, while 209 ballot papers spoilt.

So far electoral commission have managed to conduct seven successful by-elections of which NRM party has won only one seat despite president Museveni effort to campaign for candidates.

NRM has lost to DP in Luwero, to FDC in Jinja, also to DP in Entebbe, Ishaka, Kalungu, Kasese and soon to lose in Butambala and Usuk County according to the opposition MPs.NRM only managed to win in Busiro were president Museveni didn’t go to campaign for Prof Gilbert Bukenya.
