Moses Kipsiro has qualified for the 5000m final at Olympics games in London.

Kipsiro who is also a double Commonwealth champion led for most of the 5000m semi final on Wednesday but slowed in the final lap but still finished seventh in 13:17:68. Kipsiro’s time was better than the time of the winner of Heat 1,Azerbaijan’s Ibrahimov Hayle of 13:25.23.

Other Ugandan participants did not succeed to the finals.Abraham Kiplimo finished 15th while Goefrey Kusuro was the 19th.

Kipsiro has now remained in the games which are ending on Sunday with Stephen Kiprotich .Kipsiro will compete again on Saturday and has only two days to prepare .
