Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has announced that the expansion of the Kampala Northern Bypass will start early next year.
UNRA spokesperson Dan Alinange told reporters this week that the construction is funded by the European Investment bank, European Union and the Government of Uganda.
The authority is currently acquiring more land at some round-abouts that will become flyovers.
Procurement for the contractor for second phase of the 21km Kampala Northern Bypass will be done in December this year and actual construction works will start early 2013.
