An official from World Health Organization on Friday announced that Ebola in Uganda is now under control ,unlike earlier when its symptoms were not typical.
Joaquim Saweka, the WHO representative in Uganda, told reporters in Kampala that everyone known to have had contact with Ebola victims has been isolated.
“The structure put in place is more than adequate,” Saweka said. “We are isolating the suspected or confirmed cases.”
At least 16 Ugandans have died of Ebola .Rumors of its spread to other western districts including Kanunugu,Ntungamo and Mbarara have all been dismissed by government after doctors ascertained that the patients reported in the areas in question had no Ebola.
