By John Kibirige

Member of Parliament for the youth in western region has asked the youth to vote President Museveni out of power during the 2016 elections.

Mr Gerald Karuhanga, during the review of Citizen’s Manifesto for residents of Busoga sub-region organised by Iganga NGO Forum in conjunction with Jinja Net work for NGOs in Jinja town hall told the youth that president Museveni houses corrupt officials and they should take advantage of their majority in the country and vote out President Museveni.

He said that the corrupt officials in Museveni’s government have become stumbling blocks to the development of Uganda and led to continued abject poverty in the country. He advised them to vote Museveni out of power if they want things to improve.

Mr Karuhanga disclosed that  Museveni has on several occasions protected people who embezzle government money like in the national ID project, the bicycle project and over Shs100 billion given to Hassan Basajjalaba.

Of course the future of this country lies in the hands of the youth & i do concur with Hon. Karuhanga. Youths should think beyond the petty money given by NRM. We should focus on the future of our country. We are the ones who still have years ahead of us & we should not let those whose days are numbered to ruin our future. It is really embarrassing to see unemployed youths who some have even become thugs in the street of Kampala jumping for M7 as if they graduated to stay on streets. Any leader who thinks of covering for corrupt officials, pays no attention to alarming medical & transport & educational conditions surely has bad intention for the country. I find it really so disturbing for NRM to start campaigning for 2016 yet they are barely one year in office. It looks like they don’t have plans to deliver services to the masses but just to retain power. Am tired of this useless politic. Crap.
