Robin Van Persie has decided to leave Arsenal, a team he has played for since 2004. Van Persie declared his decision to leave Arsenal on his website on Wednesday night.
He wrote on his website that he has decided not to extend his contract because his goal was to play for Arsenal to revive its long lost glory which has faded away since 2005 but he has failed to improve anything.
He also added that he is not pleased with the management of the club which has failed to do anything to revive the club’s long lost glory.
“I’ve thought long and hard about it, but I have decided not to extend my contract. You guys, the fans, have of course the right to disagree with my view and decision and I will always respect your opinions.”
Van Persie says he enjoyed his stay at Arsenal for the last eight years.
