Ye Shiwen took only  seconds to win a gold medal in the 400m medley on Saturday, fans and coaches said it was a puzzling speed .She has broken the world record of swimming faster in the last 50m than the winner of the men’s event.

A US coach remarked that  Ye’s record-breaking performance was “disturbing”.

Ye Shiwen, 16, has denied taking   any  drugs to enhance her  super performance, saying there was “no problem with doping”.

The executive director of the World Swimming Coaches Association John Leonard  also says that her performance was “unbelievable”.

“There is no problem with doping. The Chinese team has a firm policy so there is no problem with that.” Ye Shiwen said
