The youth Member of Parliament from western region, Gerald Karuhanga wants parliament to summon the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) ,Richard Mutera to come and explain to why he cleared the Former minister in charge of presidency Kabakumba Masiko over the UBC Mast saga.
During a press conference held at parliament, Hon Karuhanga said that Mutera should come to parliament and explain why he cleared Kabakumba over the UBC Mast saga yet there was an evidence pinning Masiko for stilling the UBC Mass.
“We strongly denounce this action by the DPP because the UBC transmitter was recovered from her radio station during the police investigations. This fraudulent transaction could not have been effected without her knowledge as the owner of the station’’ The angry Karuhanga noted
“Kabakumba’s resignation from her ministerial position indicated that she was guilty about the stealing of the Mast and it was enough evidence for DPP to put her in books’’ A case was opened against her after police had found UBC equipments including a UBC radio transmitter and generator at Kings Radio station (KBS) in Masindi while Masiko’s accomplices were arraigned and charged in court’’ He added
Karuhanga said that it was a shock to the public to hear that somebody who was caught red handed with governments equipment is cleared by the DPP on claims that no evidence linking her to the fraud he also stressed
“If he says that there was no evidence ,we have the evidence”Karuhanga said
