Gen. Elly Tumwine has committed him self to lead a campaign to plant trees across the country that starts in September this year.

Speaking to reporters on Friday , Gen Tumwine said that the campaign seeks to plant over a million trees in different  schools, universities, religious institutions, corporate bodies, traditional institutions among other places.

Gen Tumwine further noted that there is a need  to mark the 50th independence with such activities that target the youth mainly.

Tumwine is also running an anti corruption campaign in the country.
